Let's get something out of the way immediately: needing lube doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. It doesn't mean you're not aroused, not attracted to your partner, or broken in any way. Lubrication varies depending on your hormones, hydration, medication, stress levels, and about a dozen other things entirely outside your control.
What lube does mean is that you've decided comfort matters. Good choice.
Water-based lube: the safe bet
Compatible with all toys and condoms, easy to clean, and gentle on sensitive skin. The most versatile option — this is where most people should start. It does dry out faster than other types, so you may need to reapply.
Silicone-based lube: long-lasting and silky
Lasts significantly longer than water-based, making it ideal for longer sessions or use in water. One important note: never use silicone lube with silicone toys — it can degrade the material over time.
A note on ingredients
If you have sensitive skin, look for lubes free from glycerin, parabens, and fragrances. Many of our customers find these make a significant difference to comfort.
The bottom line? There's a lube for every body and every occasion. If you're not sure where to start, our team will point you in the right direction.
